What started as just a hobby for Emma in Summer ’23 turned into a full-blown obsession and a mission to reimagine needlepoint. What’s the Stitch is flipping the script, taking it from grandma-core to a bold, expressive hobby for a new generation. With sassy designs and a playful spirit, we’re here to spark joy, build community, and turn stitching into your newest form of self-expression (and therapy).

The steps to a perfect stitch

The design is painted directly onto the canvas. Each square of mesh acts like a pixel, giving you a guide for where to stitch. Kind of like paint-by-numbers!

The basic building block of needlepoint. It’s what happens when you pull thread through the canvas in a specific way. Magic. Repetitive, meditative magic.

Welcome to your new favorite hobby. Head to "How To" for everything you'll need to get started. All it takes is learning one simple stitch, and you're off to the races.

Everything is pre-painted and ready to ship to you, so the paint colors can't be changed. However, we love a good color swap, so feel free to stitch with whatever thread colors you'd like!

For now, canvases are sold solo so you can choose your own colors, thread brands, and chaos level. There are recommended colors for each canvas, though!

What's the Stitch is a small team and are working hard to get your orders out the door as soon as possible. Please allow 3 - 5 days for your order to process.
